Enjoy a Country Bed & Breakfast

Cedar Oak Farm is owned by Craig and Dorine Alderman. At this writing they have four children and 7 grandchildren and of course Cedar, their Golden Border Collie who keeps the turkey, squirrels and deer out of the flower beds around the farm house. All you see was constructed, cleared and built by them since their purchase of the abandoned farm in 1995.

Cedar Oak Farm

Dorine is the designer of the landscaping, starting with a dream and a blank sheet of paper, she drew what she envisioned the farm would look like. What you see today is the exact replication of her dream and design. The home was created by a leading architect to be a Bed and Breakfast on the lower level, with its own entrance, and the upstairs our living area.

Charming rooms

The four bedrooms are themed for Missouri’s wildlife and decorated for those themes with items collected over the years of both Craig and Dorine’s active involvement in the outdoor industry. They are The Duck Room, The Fishing Room, The Turkey Room and The Quail and Pheasant Room. Two rooms are suites, meaning they are larger and afford a sitting area. All rooms have private bathrooms.

Enjoy and relax

The Common Room, open to use by all guests, is themed after the whitetail deer population and the hunting heritage of Craig and the family members including a stone faced fireplace. The overstuffed red leather furniture, game table/serving table and wet bar /serving area provide a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the country serenity in a lodge type setting.

Country Wildlife

We perform heavy wildlife habitat work from timber stand improvements to food plots and wildlife openings, working all year long and have joint research projects with the Missouri Department of Conservation. The farm is also the home of the Quail and Upland Wildlife Federation (QUWF), a national wildlife conservation organization, the only veteran founded/ managed conservation organization in the U.S. and the only one using a multiple specie approach.
